Have you tried going into the DJMT1 setting utility application and set the inputs correctly i know on my mac sometimes i have to go in there and reset them as they get moved to control cd and i use control vinyl. And as for setting the mixer back into external mode press and hold utility button for one second. Then press the load b button till the channel 1 led is a -6 then click then with the rotary knob turn it until the leds turn off and that will put it back to external mode.

The left deck when spinning the record backwards is dropping out and skipping terribly. I am using the deck in midi mode for the new effects - maybe this is whats causing the problem.
